Chinese New Year is coming up and this year, it’s the year of the Pig. Make your own cute little piggy for yourself or someone you know who loves pigs!

Amigurumi Crochet Pig Pattern

I kind of modelled this guy after the pig from Seven Deadly Sins- Hawk. And although he looks nothing like Hawk, I’m still OBSESSED with him. His ears look like tiny little mittens and they make him look like he’s about to take flight. GAH. I can’t.

If you love him as much as I do, keep reading! If you use the same weight of yarn as me, your Pig will end up being roughly 2.5 inches tall & 4 inches long.

If you would like what you see and would to support me, you can find an inexpensive printable PDF file of the Pig Amigurimi pattern for purchase in the Shop!

Otherwise, keep scrolling down for the free pattern!

Please do not reprint, sell or claim the pattern as your own. If you wish to share this pattern, you may link to the free pattern on the blog. Please do not copy and post the pattern onto your site.

Insert safety eyes between rows 19 & 20. Insert first eye 13 sts from the first st of row 20 and insert the other eye roughly 8 sts after that. Snap the backing in once the eyes are in the proper place.
It helps if you mark the end of the first 3 sets of decreases each row. Your markers will indicate the side of the pig’s face.

22 (sc, dec) x 3, (2sc, dec) x 3 [15]
23-25 sc in all sts [15]
Switch to cream yarn
26 sc in all sts, back loops only [15]
27 (3sc, dec) x 3 [12]
Stuff, close hole, hide tail in the body. Push nose back in a bit so that it sits flat.

Assembly

  • Pin ears onto the side of the head, roughly 2 rows behind the eyes, sew.

  • Sew tail into the centre of the back.

  • Pin feet onto the bottom of the body and sew.

  • Embroider two lines in the front of the nose to create the nostrils in whatever colour you like. I chose to use grey.

  • Sew a line with the hot pink yarn under the eyes to create rosy cheeks for your pig.
